We're looking forward to the SIRIUS Spring General Assembly taking place on May 11-12 in Oslo, Norway. SIRIUS is a Norwegian Centre for Research-driven Innovation that addresses the problems of scalable data access in the oil & gas industry. The center combines public funding for basic research with funding from its industry partners into an eight-year program for industrial innovation. metaphacts is a consortium member in SIRIUS.

• Keynote talk: Value of Data and Digitalization via Semantic Technologies - In his keynote on May 11 at 9:15 CET, metaphacts CEO Sebastian Schmidt will talk about the intersection of research and industry and how results drawn from this collaboration can be used to build semantic models that drive Industry 4.0.
• Panel Discussion: Value of research @ SIRIUS - In this session, moderators I. Chieh Yu and K. Lewis from the University of Oslo, academic panelists Ian Horrocks (Uni Oxford), Ahmet Soylu (OsloMet) and Laura Ann Slaughter (UiO), and industry panelists Sebastian Schmidt (metaphacts), Ellen Karlsen (Aibel) and Kirsten Helle (TechnipFMC) will look back the SIRIUS research activities and discuss the impact these have had and can have on the industry.
